First, you will want to make sure your garden is in shape for the party. This means that you need to make sure all the weeds are pulled, the beds are in order and that it looks pleasing to the eye.

You can create a nice atmosphere by ensuring you have some focal points set out. Think about investing in some stone garden pots or new terracotta planters to fill with lovely plant and floral arrangements.
The bigger the pot, the better it will stand out which is what you want when creating a focal point. A series of small pots will also work well too!

To plan your party, you will need to make sure you have enough room for your guests. How many people do you plan on inviting? To prep for the party you should really sketch out a floor plan so anyone who is helping you will know exactly where you want the tables and other settings to be.

This way, you will be able to just hand them the sketch and they can help you while you attend to something else.

Another big issue with garden parties is the weather; you will need to form a backup plan in case it starts to rain. If you are going to bring the party into your home (if it happens) then you need to prepare your floors for the foot traffic.

At the very least, you need to lay out some plastic carpet runners to guide guests to where the bathroom is. This way, your major walkways will not become soiled with dirt.

Lastly, be sure to alert your neighbors of your party. They should be informed in case it gets a little loud so they know what is going on. It is a courteous thing to do and they will be grateful for the heads up.

If you plan ahead of time and keep some of these things in mind, you will have a wonderful party that everyone will enjoy!

And then, you will also have to consider what you need to plant. Sometimes, you will have to choose the plant that corresponds to the weather. That is because there are plants that do not like too cold or too warm weather. So you have to be careful. Better yet, choose the plant that can live and survive in all seasons.

Lastly, after all has been considered, everythign boils down to how you take care of your garden. After planting, do not just  leave them behind. You will have to make sure to water them everyday. And one tip in watering your plants, the best to do it is during early morning or at night. That is to save water and too much evaporation. And then, you will also have to make sure that from time to time, you loosen the soil around your plants. that will help for the plants to quickly absorb the water and nutrients. It also much advisable to use fertilizers to help your plants. But not too much of it basically. Again, you will have to do certain research on which fertilizer you need to use.

All these are only based on personal experience that I managed to successfully follow when I started my own garden. Yes it is not easy but it is rewarding to see how pretty your garden will be. Especially when you see your flowers growing and you have your neighbors really envy on your garden.

If you can afford it, you should try to make your additional growing materials be composed completely of compost, but if you need to combine it with the other soil, that’s okay too. · Size. Flower pots come in different sizes. You can find small, medium, large, short, and tall pots. Choose the one that s perfect for your plant’s needs. The size of the pot usually depends on the size of the plant. If the plant is huge, then choose a large pot that can support the weight of the plant. But realistically, is it a good idea to store seeds for future use? As someone who is always planing for the worse and hoping for the best, I say yes! Another fear pushing the sales of these survivalist seed banks is genetic engineering of our plants. Many claim that ‘the forces that be’ are creating plants that produce sterile seed.

These people claim these companies are producing such plants in order to make more money and control the citizens. Whether you believe that or not is up to you.

If you do decide to store you own seeds, don’t blow your hard earned money on these ads. You can put your own seeds back in your own waterproof container and save a bunch of money in the process. Just like food storage, all it takes is a little planning and a little creativity.

What I do is buy only heirloom seeds. I then find a nice water proof container to store the seeds in. You can use a 2 to 3 foot section of 4 inch PVC pipe and then seal both ends with a cap. Just make sure you use good glue and get a complete seal.

A friend of mine spends extra money and gets plastic ammo cans from sporting goods retailers like Cabelas. These come with a waterproof seal around the perimeter of the lid. He goes one step further and uses silicone to seal the lid and then puts them back for storage.

Before putting your seeds in these containers, some folks will put them in plastic bags and vacuum pack the package, locking in the seeds. This is just another effort to keep the seeds dry. So if you’ve been thinking of buying a survival seed bank, you might want to try making one yourself first!
