As for preparing your growing spot, it is pretty easy. All you need to do is put about a foot of compost and top soil on top of the soil that is already there, and then you are ready to plant. If you can afford it, you should try to make your additional growing materials be composed completely of compost, but if you need to combine it with the other soil, that’s okay too. As long as they are both natural, and all the fertilizers and pesticides you use have no chemicals in them, you will successfully be an organic vegetable gardener.
