My Fish Pond

I finely got the pond safe and ready for my fish. This video shows that process. Keep in mind, I still need a name for that second fish.

  • hirofan says:

Are you able to maintain the proper pH for tetras? They need a heater, no? Goldfish would love your setup. They like lots of space and don’t require a heater.

  • chengaun says:

Nice!! I have the same PH Kit at home. lol

  • SeventailedUmbreon says:

i enjoyed this video though as long as you don’t keep huge fish in there it’s pretty good it’s better than idiots putting goldfish in fish bowls =) It’s really nice 5/5

didn’t look like a kiddy pool when I was finished with it. Either way, I have a cabinet hifi there now.

  • hando562 says:

Looks Horrible! Who wants a kiddie pool in their living room? So tacky!

  • HenryBoot says:

I enjoyed watching this video, Jason. Thank you.

  • Trmitchell01 says:

you have to let water sit at leat 24 hours after conditioning.

  • jasonmit says:

It does create soothing white noise. It’s pretty loud though.

  • jasonmit says:

Earlier in that day I tested the PH of tap water right from the pipe. There was virtually no difference. I don’t think the conditioner makes any changes to the PH. I think it’s designed to naturalize chlorine and other chemicals put in tap water to make it drinkable, but could make fish ill, or even kill them.

Cool thing about this setup is how the pump aerates and slowly evaporates the water. I have to add around half a gallon of water each day. No filter, yet the water is still very clear.

  • danieg213 says:

just an observation but didnt you put something in the water ( i believe conditioner) in the pond b4 you tested it.so it wouldnt be the same as if you tested the water straight from the tap, try it tat way to see if there is a def….but cool pond would love have tat

  • perfectdiamondring says:

i love the pond, the running water is relaxing

  • jasonmit says:

LOL, don’t worry about your English. You may have a better grasp of the language than some people I know who been speaking it their entire lives.

I have two little Serpae Tetra. I’m planning to get some more fish here pretty soon. The problem with these fish is they blend into the rocks I have in the pond. So I’ll either get some gold fish or some of these glow-in-the-dark fish I seen.

Thanks for your best wishes. They seem to be remaining very health so far. :)

I think I’ve learned a lot of things from this video. Is a fish in your pond goldfish?
this is so cool video! you are so nice to fish. I hope your fish will live for long time. I think if you put more fish, it will be great!! my English is bad I’m sorry.

  • jasonmit says:

I was kind of wondering that too. I think since the water is always moving, and especially if I get some kind of filtration worked out, it may be like changing oil….should change it every three months, but when I get around to it, it may be closer to five.

  • CarmelleandJacob says:

I wonder how often the water will need to be changed? Looks good Jason

  • TORITOT83 says:

very cool pond i like it

  • bondi007 says:
